Dark greens🌿, tomatoes🍅, roasted red pepper, cilantro, fat-free feta, Mrs. Dash Italian medley, all dressed with fresh squeezed lemon juice🍋.

A not so boring bowl of cheerios for breakfast this morning.  For added nutrients and color, I decided to throw in some strawberries, blueberries, cinnamon, chia seeds and almond milk! 

And what exactly do these additives deliver?
Strawberries: fiber & vitamin C 
Blueberries: proanthocyanidins, a group of phytonutrients that decrease free radicals in your body, which are linked to age and disease. Catechins activate fat - burning genes to help with weight loss. 
Cinnamon: Helps control blood sugar and contains sufficient anti-oxidant properties. 
Chia seeds: An excellent source of fiber and omega-3 fatty acid for brain health.
